What is EcziCare Lotion?

EcziCare Lotion is a natural, non-addictive herbal remedy specifically formulated by qualified homeopath to soothe and relieve the symptoms of eczema, particularly for dry, red, itchy skin.

What are the ingredients? 

EcziCare Lotion is 100% natural herbal formula and contains the following ingredients in therapeutic dosage: Arnica2.5%, Calendula 2.5%, Golden Seal2.5%, Horsetail 2.5%, Licorice 2.5%, Marshmallow 2.5%, diluted and potentised with natural plant base oil.

Arnica Montana

It has been used in folk medicine for ages, for its ability to speed the healing of tissues.

Arnica montana is widely held to improve blood circulation, allowing oxygen to get to the cell faster.

Arnica acts as an anti-inflammatory, and has even been indicated as a way to speed the absorption of internal bleeding back into the body.

Calendula

Calendula has been used for medicinal purposes since at least the 12th century, primarily as a topical application to boost the healing rate of wounds and prevent infection. Calendula contains high amounts of flavonoids, which are thought to increase the rate of neo-vascularization and deposit hyaluronan, the principal component of the extracellular matrix in cells. Hyaluronan contributes to cell proliferation and migration as well as the formation, alignment and migration of capillaries, which may explain why calendula speeds healing.

The antifungal properties of calendula could make it useful as an herbal remedy for fungal infections like thrush, athlete’s foot, and ringworm.

Calendula is commonly used as an herbal treatment for the relief of skin disorders. It is used to heal minor burns, including sunburns, and it is a traditional herbal remedy for the treatment of rashes, including diaper rash.

This herb has also been used to treat systemic skin problems such as dermatitis, eczema, acne and psoriasis. It has even been shown to prevent dermatitis in breast cancer patients during radiation therapy, and there is evidence that it may be more effective than trolami.

Golden Seal

This herb was used by the Native Americans to treat a variety of ailments such as  a yeast infection, athlete’s foot and skin irritations caused by fungi and bacteria such as acne and skin rashes. It is also effective for mouth ulcers such as canker sores and other irritations to the mucous membranes of the mouth. Because of its effects on blood vessel tone it has been used to control external bleeding as well.

Horsetail

Topical preparations of the herb can be used to heal wounds, sprains, fractures and burns. It has been used as an herbal treatment for rheumatic conditions and skin problems such as dandruff.

Licorice

Licorice is one of the most widely used medicinal plants, both in Western and Eastern herbal medicine and has at least 3000 years of history as a medicinal plant.

Externally the herb has been used against dermatitis, eczema, herpes and shingles. It has anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties which explain its use as an herbal remedy for athlete’s foot, canker sores and dandruff.

Marshmallow

Marshmallow root extract is used to treat inflammatory skin conditions, sooth inflamed skin, and it will reduce redness.
